Edinburgh Bus Station is located on St Andrew Square and is only a couple of minutes walk from Waverley Train Station. The station is in the northeast corner under the shopping mall with buses deprting and arriving on the square itself.
The new Edinburgh Bus Station was recently built at a cost of £4 million. The building is air-conditioned and heated with the waiting areas are seperated from the buses by automatic doors. The station has the usual toilets and baby change facilities.
There are two new pedestrian entrances to the bus station, these are at Elder Street and North St Andrew Street (at the north east corner of St Andrew Square). A taxi rank and drop off/pick up area with parking for up to two hours is available in North St Andrew Street.
Cleaning and security personnel operate at all times in the bus station, which is also equipped with a comprehensive CCTV system.
